Target Practice

All students are taught the body's pressure points on a life-like bag. They are taught to strike them accurately through repetitive practice before moving on to sparring.

Board Breaking

Students participate in board breaking for multiple reasons. One very important purpose for this is to learn to concentrate and focus on a target while executing a successful technique. This training helps each student grow and develop a much better skill set of stability and focus in everything they do in life. The benefits reach far beyond the Dojang and TaeKwonDo lessons.

Another very important thing that happens to students during board breaking is their test of confidence and courage. Everyone has a certain fear of the unknown and it take courage to venture into that area to see what awaits us. Having the courage to strike a board is an accomplishment in itself, but when a student breaks the board, self-confidence begins to take root and grow. When this happens, the student starts becoming more confident about everything in their life. A great start to a better future over all.

Once a student learns to overcome one fear, it isn't long until they learn to overcome every fear that challenges them.
